Precis #6: The Red Dress

“The Red Dress” is a story about a young girl’s violent past catching up to her. For prom, Natalie’s father had given her a beautiful red dress that was a dress of her dreams. She loved it and at prom she was the girl that everyone envied. She was named prom queen and Lance Browick was the prom king, who was also Joann’s boyfriend. Jealous, Joanne showed her disturbing and violent past by attacking Natalie and assaulting her to death. Joanne was sentence to a reform school. But Natalie wasn’t so forgiving; her spirit haunted Joanne every night saying that she would get her revenge. After Joanne got out of that school, she had to attend a different high school to complete her education. She attended Lucretia Academy. When Lucretia Academy had a prom Joanne went to look for a prom dress. She went to a store and there she saw the red dress Natalie was wearing the night of her death. Ignoring that fact she bought the dress and now she was the envy of her prom. At prom, Joanne started to have trouble breathing and all of the sudden she collapsed and died. As they were laying Joanne to rest, she woke up in her casket and heard Natalie’s voice. Natalie told her that she had gotten her revenge and that her stupidity in buying that same dress caused her death. The same red dress had killed Joanne.
